 > This may well be so.  Australia and Japan drive on the left and they're islands.  Don't know whether New Zealand or Iceland are left-siders.  I think Sweden were until 1967 when they had a mass switchover day. Everyone stopped, they changed the signs and markings and then everyone continued on the right.
