I've been trying with all my might to avoid it... I was hooked on IRC for about a year back when I first started university (well, college at the time) and moved to a new city far from home and knew nobody but my family... Fortunately, I met some people through IRC that I had also met IRL, and that helped cultivate my non-IRC relationships. Then I moved to a bigger city to finish my degree at a university and moved in with a bunch of high-school friends who had also ended up there and I managed to kick the habit. Now, though, that habit might come back simply because I've found a place where everyone seems to be so wonderful. (I say "seems to be" not because I suspect that you are all not as wonderful as you appear here, but as a qualifier to the "everyone", since I clearly have not encountered everyone here. But I digress. Often.) Well, off to check out RinkChat. I'm sure I won't like it. I'm sure I'll just drop by and check it out as another RinkWorks feature which I must look at for completeness, if nothing else, and then leave again. I'm sure that I'll go home today to find that somebody accidently left a dump truck full of loonies (Canadian one dollar coins, for those who don't know) parked in my bedroom. I'm sure that if I keep saying I'm sure, all these things will come true.
