That's easy. I saw "Poltergeist" on a school trip when I was 13. I was nailed to my seat in terror throughout the entire movie and when it was over I was shaking so much I couldn't stand up. I have no idea how I even managed to *see* enough of it to find it scary, since I think my eyes were closed about 99% of the time.
I really ought to rent that some time and find out how laughable and/or stupid it *really* was. I have a terrible suspicion I'm going to find out I was an unbelievable wimp at age 13.

Jaws. Several reasons.
1) I never saw it on the big screen.
2) I saw Jaws 2 first, and spent the whole movie whooping with laughter at the insanely stupid-looking fake shark, which undoubtedly affected my view of the original movie when I saw that.
3) By the time I saw Jaws, I'd heard of every scene in it, and seen half of them parodied in other movies. Gah.
4) I quite like sharks, they're pretty. Plus, having worked at a dive magazine where I associated with various mentally disturbed individuals who study them, hand-feed them in the wild, and catch them for aquariums, I've heard enough about them not to find them intrinsically scary.
