 Now I am royally confused.  I sort of think as North America as Canada, the US, and Mexico.  Once you get to Guatamala, it's Central America, but even if you count the Central American nations, I don't think it will come up to ten. (Not looking at a map right now.) Further confusing me is the collection of island nations to our southeast, which are mostly beyond the continental shelf but still seem a little like North America.
