Ten Pin Bowling and other assortied goodies

At the Commonwealth Games two years ago in Malaysia, they had introduced ten pin bowling as a commonwealth sport. Why isn't it acceptable as an Olympic sport?

Also, after watching the US Grand Prix from Indy, I can't help wondering what the Americans thought of it. Any comments?
