There's a road sign way down the bottom of the South Island, pointing one way to the town of Clinton and the other way to the town of Gore. This became famous a few years back. When they upgraded the sign, the old one was sent to President Clinton. I think he has it in his office or something. Coincidences are everywhere.

As far as Rinkie names go, in Auckland alone there's a Stoddard Road, no less than five Parkers (Avenue, Crescent, Lane, Road, and Street), a Howard Road, a Wolf Street, a Speedy Road AND Crescent, two Ambers (Heights and Glen), two Brandon Roads, a Stephen Ave, and a Balanthalus Street. Well, OK, I made up that last one.

And let's not forget that Darien has a whole town in the US named after him, although judging by their website it may not be all that much of an honour. Although it's better than that town in Australia called Monkey Mia. ;-)
