  I talked to my uncle, an ordained minister, currently the pastor of a church he started, whom I knew could find the best verses faster than I could, and more completely.  He says:
  "Love is commanded in Ephesians 5:25, Leviticus 19:18, and Matthew 5:44.  If it can be commanded, then it is a decision -- to do what is best for that person.  This is why Jesus could expect you to love your enemy, whom you will probably NOT like."
  There are instances of affection/infatuation-type love in the Bible, such as Jacob's love for Rebekah, but in these instances context distinguishes one from the other.
