I found my way to the secnd floor of the tower and got totally lost and cna't make any headway. I suspect I'm missing something, but I have no idea what. I have chatted with Ashburne but tht disn't help. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing? Here is my inventory:

9 Mana Mushrooms
Black Boots
Long Spear
