In the Coastguard everyone but me has a nickname (although, thinking of some of the nicknames, I think that might be a good thing). Either it's because nobody likes me, or it's because they are so in awe of me they don't want to provoke disrespect to my intrinsic dignity. -heheheheh snort-

I never had a regular nickname myself until the last couple of years (probably because i wouldn't let ANYone call me "Lynn") but lately they've multiplied exponentially.... i could list them, but that would take a while (among my favorites are Lynetteschauss, Liebchen, Leny, and Ley). of course, it's probably my fault that i have so many... i have this thing, i don't want people to go "oh yeah, that's (fill-in-nickname here) her real name isss... ummmm.... oh yeah, Lynette". so if you want to have a nickname for me, come up with something original.
