 > Uh?  Er well Brunnen-G, you might want to consider the precise way in which that DC person phrased the "NZ-as-part-of-Canada" comment (in a very Canadian fashion!)  I mean, if the similarities between NZ and Canadian accents are as strong as you've indicated to me -- the rising inflection at the end of sentences, and the "eh?" part -- plus add to the fact that there ARE a bunch of little islands just off the SE corner of Canada, including Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia --  why then I'm not entirely certain "NZ-as-part-of-Canada" wasn't actually an astute, deadpan joke!
