Poetry Pool

Untitled

i'm waiting for the stars to fall
into puddles of depth
deep-seated convictions didn't hold them
in the sky, or in my mind
but they fall every day
daysleepers and forgetful
never fearing the inevitable plunge

wiggling, kaleidoscopic
taunting me with the height
daring my hands to reach up
laughing at my stuttering mentality
gloating and distantly beckoning

i wish the stars could fear me
while i speak words of their doom
how i'd laugh as they cringe
and kick them after they fall
