The Big Store (1941)

Reviews and Comments

Fresh from the funny Go West, the Marx Brothers made The Big Store, arguably the weakest of all the Marx Brothers films. Despite a silly finale that's so over the top you're bound to laugh in spite of yourself, this is a largely prolonged and sometimes downright dull excursion for the comedy team. The movie does, however, have some classic moments of Groucho Marx needling Margaret Dumont, and Chico and Harpo have a great piano duet.
