Reviews and Comments

"I can be pushed just so fur and no further."

When a American couple, touring Europe, teaches an English nobleman the finer points of poker, his valet is lost to them -- much to the valet's supreme dismay. The American man is a rough and uncouth, and the woman wants the valet to help make a gentleman out of them. The clash of cultures results in broadened horizons on both sides. Sound like a dull drama? It's not. It's a laugh riot from start to finish. Charles Laughton, as the valet, is outstanding.
