Reviews and Comments

The weakest film to pair dancing sensations Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Their dancing is the only highlight; not even Irene Dunne, who receives top billing, can save this boring, disjointed story about a man inheriting a dress shop. Film critic Leonard Maltin suggests ways to get through the non-musical parts: count the number of times Randolph Scott says "swell" or try to spot Lucille Ball in one of her earliest roles.
