Irritating melodrama about a family whose house burns down and they end up in the poor house. It tries to increase awareness of the poor and homeless. It falls flat on its face. If the father weren't a proud egotist who'd rather get drunk and throw up all over himself than accept charity or take a second job at McDonald's, or if the son weren't a spoiled little brat in need of a good spanking rather than parents' apologies, then maybe we'd care. Poorly written dialogue, over-acting, and unending heavy breathing (to signify desperation), make this a veritable waste of time.
