Reviews and Comments

This Abbott and Costello vehicle is typical of their films -- a loose plot strings together a series of skits featuring the comic duo. This one isn't bad. The scene where Lou attempts to tell a joke to a classroom of girls is a classic. However, a few of the funny scenes are marred by being drawn out too long. A little restraint would have gone a long way here. The same goes for the periodic musical numbers. There are way too many, and only the tap dance number and the violin piece are noteworthy -- they're quite impressive, in fact.
