Melanie Griffith is a cop on the trail of a killer in New York City. The chase leads her to a small community of Hasidic Jews; most of the film is about her experience with their culture rather than the gangster mystery. The drama, unfortunately, isn't very convincing. (Griffith, a cop?) Hence it's less than compelling and will likely bore the viewer.
