This is a sci-fi muddle of government paranoia, virusparanoia, and Freudian sexual paranoia. All in one! A scientist at a government research center accidentally injects alien cells (found at a crashed spaceship site) into his own bloodstream, and slooooooooooowly changes into something that looks like a cross between and elephant and an alligator. The monster is destroyed (eventually) by the cunning heroine, a computer major from Princeton who looks remarkably like Meredith Baxter. She is assisted by a psychotic security guard, her sister, and her accident prone boyfriend. Lots of scenes of running down white high-tech hallways (which really look like one hallway, shot from different ends). Sometimes the monster looks like a puppet, and sometimes it looks like Harryhausen animation. At the end, it's very difficult to guess who's alive and who's dead.
