Some people go to a free sneak preview of a horror movie at a mysterious new theatre and demons start killing them: it's a basic premise for a standard bad eighties horror movie. Of course, there is a number of things that make this movie stand out.

Number one: dialogue. I'm pretty sure this movie was made in Italy, and so this movie has an excuse for the painfully bad dialogue. But the worst part is that some (but not all) of the voices were dubbed. It makes for a confusing, yet amusing experience.

Number two: plot. A girl turns into a demon after scratching her face on a mask that was on a theatre display, a mask that is exactly like the one in the horror movie that the characters are watching in the theatre. After that, she kills people, and they turn into demons. Sure, it's stupid and unoriginal, but things get even worse. A gang of druggies drive up to the theatre and go in for the sole purpose of dying. These druggies get a whole lot of screen time before they show up at the theatre, and when they finally do they're almost immediately slaughtered. Later in the movie, the male lead takes a motorcycle and a sword from a theatre display and DRIVES THE MOTORCYCLE WHILE CHOPPING OFF DEMON HEADS WITH THE SWORD. Yes, the theatre display not only had a real evil mask, it also had a real motorcycle and sword.

And that's all it took to kill all the theatre demons. That's it. But the worst part is yet to come. After the male lead rides around on the motorcycle, he and the female lead stand there looking around for a few seconds. They hear a low rumbling sound, and the ceiling begins to shake a little. The rumbling gets louder, and they look up. Then a helicopter falls through the roof. I kid you not. It's in almost perfect condition, too. The pilots are inside, killed by who knows what (the demons couldn't have killed them from the air). Some more demons enter the room, so the male lead does the most logical thing: he waits until the demons come really close and then turns on the helicopter blades. How he ever imagined this could work is ridiculous, but the fact that it actually did work is hilarious.

Number 3: gore. I've been watching horror movies since I was five frickin' years old, and I felt like vomiting after seeing some of this movie. The gore is so bad that it's almost impossible to watch the whole thing straight without covering your eyes. It's not scary gore; it's just disgusting. I would've given this movie five turkeys, but the gore made it nearly unwatchable at times, knocking it down to a three. But hey, see it yourself. This movie has some pretty funny parts.

Scene to watch for: The background movie.

Best line: Anything followed by "...instruments of evil!"

Thing that makes you go "Huh?": The helicopter.
